Obituary: Carla Gregory Parsons

Carla Gregory Parsons, 75, of Bowdoin, Maine, died Friday Aug. 28, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born Feb. 21, 1951, in Sanford, she graduated from Sanford High School in 1969 and later earned a BS in Elementary Education and Math from the University of Southern Maine in 1973. Parsons taught elementary education for 43 years across multiple school districts, and after moving to Brunswick in 1973, she married Ernest L. Parsons. The couple were ordained as pastors in 1996 at Family Christian Fellowship, now Stauron Ministries. Her hobbies included kayaking, boating, knitting, sewing, gardening, and fishing. She is survived by multiple stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; visiting is set for Sept. 11 and a celebration service for Sept. 12.
