Pedro Acosta rated superior to Marc Marquez in key MotoGP comparison

KTM development rider Pol Espargaro compared MotoGP’s newest winner, Pedro Acosta, favorably against Marc Marquez, after Acosta won the Austrian Grand Prix for his first triumph since his Moto2 championship season. The 22-year-old is already set to join Ducati next season, and Marquez has also suggested Acosta is in the fight this year. Espargaro says Acosta’s premier-class crown will come “sooner rather than later” due to a distinctive riding style. He highlighted Acosta’s late braking and how his tall frame and long arms create a “sail-like effect” for earlier stops and mid-corner rotation.
