Raul Fernandez claims maiden MotoGP pole position at Mandalika
xCruzo Brief
Raul Fernandez took pole for the first time in his MotoGP career at Mandalika, controlling qualifying with a lap of 1:28.852 after five years in the premier class. Early in Q1, multiple crashes disrupted momentum: Johann Zarco fell twice, while Ai Ogura and Enea Bastianini also crashed. In the session finale, Diogo Moreira’s crash brought out yellow flags, and Fermin Aldeguer and Ogura advanced to Q2. The crash-heavy conditions served as a warning to riders pushing for fast laps, but Fernandez found ideal track position and topped the timesheets for the rest of qualifying. Marco Bezzecchi finished second, Fabio di Giannantonio was third, and title contenders lined up fourth (Marquez) and fifth (Jorge Martin), with Aldeguer sixth.
