Southern California Boy, 6, killed after father backs Tesla Cybertruck into him

A 6-year-old boy in Temecula, California, was killed after his father backed a Tesla Cybertruck into him while the child was exiting the family driveway over the weekend, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office. The Sept. 19 incident occurred just after 9 p.m. in the 43,000 block of Brookhaven Court. The collision report obtained by the Los Angeles Times said Preston El Guindy suffered serious injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The boy had reportedly been playing outside when he was struck. The CHP officer overseeing the case said the vehicle was not in Autopilot mode at the time and that investigators are focused on accident indications rather than foul play. Authorities said they are reviewing Cybertruck video and other evidence, and the investigation remains ongoing.
