Stellantis vehicle shipments rise 10% in the second quarter led by North America
Stellantis vehicle shipments rose 10% in the second quarter, led by strong performance in North America, where the automaker shipped nearly 445,000 units. The figure brought total global volumes to nearly 1.6 million vehicles for the quarter, according to preliminary results released on July 13 in Milan. In North America, shipments increased 38%, supported by new or refreshed models including the Ram 1500 8-cylinder and the high-performance TRX SRT, plus updated Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler Pacifica. Stellantis cited preparations for a planned summer production shutdown as part of the outcome. In Enlarged Europe, shipments grew 5% to 762,000 units, including about 33,000 Leapmotor vehicles. Growth was partially offset by lower volumes in the Middle East and Africa, and weaker demand in Argentina. Full Q2 results are due July 30.
