In Miami, defense attorneys told a U.S. federal court that Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan rented luxury supercars and filmed on borrowed yachts to project an “uberwealthy” image aimed at driving internet engagement, according to legal filings submitted Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026. The brothers—currently detained there while fighting U.K. extradition—deny wrongdoing as they seek bail. Their lawyers said the attention-seeking, “hyperbolic” posts generate views, likes, and income, and cautioned against treating lifestyle depictions as proof of real assets. Filings also allege a featured yacht was not owned by them, and that an Aston Martin and Bugatti in Tristan’s videos were rented.
