Teenager dies in motorcycle crash on coastal road

A 17-year-old died following a motorcycle crash on the B9031 Macduff to Fraserburgh road, west of the junction for Pennan, police said. The incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 24. The rider was on a black Honda CB500 and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries were reported. The road was closed for about six hours to allow an investigation, and it has since reopened. Sergeant Peter Henderson of the North East Road Policing Unit said inquiries are ongoing and urged anyone who may have witnessed anything or has dash-cam footage to contact police, quoting reference 2462 of August 24.
