Toprak Razgatlioglu Out for the Rest of 2026: What Pramac Yamaha Loses, and What It Doesn't
Pramac Yamaha confirmed on 20 October that MotoGP rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu will undergo surgery on an injured shoulder and miss the final five rounds of 2026. The absence starts with this weekend’s Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island. The injury dates back to the Indonesian Grand Prix at Mandalika, where Razgatlioglu highsided in second practice (Turn 13) and dislocated his shoulder; medics reduced it on site. He returned the following weekend but qualified 19th, finished the Sprint 19th, then retired after about eight laps from the Grand Prix citing lack of strength. After checks in Milan, doctors found more extensive damage. Surgery is scheduled for Monday, 26 October, with rehabilitation planned and no return date announced. Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernandez will take the No. 7 bike from Phillip Island onward.
