Toyota’s Crown Signia GT-S Embraces Station-Wagon Swagger
Toyota is turning the Crown Signia into a station-wagon-flavored concept for SEMA, unveiling the Crown Signia GT-S Concept ahead of the 2026 Specialty Equipment Market Association show. The idea builds on Toyota’s 2025 launch of the Crown Signia, a more upscale crossover utility vehicle that replaced the Venza and blurs the line between crossover and wagon. Toyota also notes the name “Crown Estate” in markets outside North America reflects that wagon-like intent. The GT-S Concept is being developed by Toyota Motorsports Garage, the automaker’s skunkworks team behind prior SEMA builds. Toyota positions it as a “sleek grand touring machine” blending everyday comfort with sports-car road feel, suggesting revised hardware designed to back up the concept’s grand touring attitude.
