Two die in three-vehicle collision on I-65 in Montgomery

Two people died in an early-morning, three-vehicle collision on Interstate 65 in Montgomery, near Southlawn Drive, as reported by Montgomery Police Department Lt. Tina McGriff. Elijah D. Mayes, 20, was driving a 2017 Acura and died at the scene, while 28-year-old Benjamin Henry Dallas Radel, in a 2024 Nissan Altima, also died at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries. Investigators have not released the collision’s cause, and no further details were provided as the investigation continues.
