Updated Renault Megane brings new face and 310 miles of range
Renault’s updated Megane E-Tech hatchback expands its appeal in the electric hatchback fight with a revised design and a larger battery, delivering up to 310 miles of range. The refreshed model, Renault’s first bespoke EV, arrives about four years after its launch and targets competition including the Volkswagen ID 3, Cupra Born, Vauxhall Astra and Peugeot e-308, alongside the Hyundai Ioniq 3, Kia EV4 and Mini Aceman. Changes are led by a new front end featuring a more imposing grille and lower-set Renault badge, aligning its face with the newer Austral and Rafale SUVs. The battery capacity rises to 67kWh from 60kWh, lifting maximum range to 310 miles (from 285 miles). The higher battery adds 20mm to height, now 1520mm, and total weight increases by 100kg to 1772kg.
