Bumper weekend of activities in Cleethorpes
Cleethorpes is set for a busy weekend featuring food events, beach fitness and live music, starting Friday July 24. Great Grub Fest runs in Lower Kingsway from Friday through Sunday, with opening hours of up to 8pm on Friday and Saturday and until 6pm on Sunday. On Saturday morning, Beach Pilates takes place from 9am to 10am as a fundraiser for Fierce Elite Cheerleading to attend the World Championships in Florida next year; there is no experience required and the session costs £10, booked via gymcatch.com. Later, from 9:45am to 10:45am, a storytelling session at Bluebell Would on Sea View Street supports the Pier Gardens regeneration work; it is free but requires booking and is aimed at children aged five plus. The schedule also includes the first-ever UK Beach Wrestling Championships near the leisure centre, running roughly 11am to 5pm under the sport’s governance by United World Wrestling (UWW). Live music at 0 degrees North and Yardbirds Rock closes Saturday night, and on Sunday a guided history tour with Emma Lingard runs from 1pm with booking via Eventbrite.
