Costco shoppers deciding on big-ticket home purchases may find their warranty options—or lack of them—can swing the choice. The retailer says certain items are eligible for extended protection, including repairs, replacements or refunds up to the purchase price. Coverage varies by product and Costco membership tier, with some eligible buyers able to earn up to $1,250 in rewards from qualifying purchases. Major appliances from Costco can come with a two-year warranty, and some qualify for up to 4% back for Executive Members and Costco Anywhere Visa Card holders. Eligible online purchases also include free delivery and installation, with “Haul Away” in some areas. Members get a two-year computer warranty, up to five-year TV warranties, and tires are covered by a five-year Road Hazard Warranty plus lifetime maintenance services via the Installation Package.
