Denis Villeneuve Officially Reveals How 'Dune: Part Three' Changes Everything

Denis Villeneuve has revealed that Dune: Part Three will keep the “DNA” of the franchise while changing how the story moves. Speaking to Empire Magazine, the director said the film will have different pacing and will be “a very different movie,” while remaining unmistakably Dune. The article places the upcoming trilogy finale coming out this December in a major box-office collision with Avengers: Doomsday, with plans for a possible double feature. It also references the earlier trailer, which showed a slightly aged Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) in a post-war world. The piece revisits Villeneuve’s decision to bring Frank Herbert’s books to screen and highlights performers including Zendaya, Javier Bardem and Rebecca Ferguson.
