Show fronted by comic who grew up in Blackburn pub wins National Television Award

ITV’s The 1% Club won the National Television Award for best quiz show at this year’s ceremony, with comedian Lee Mack taking the stage. Mack, whose family connection to Blackburn includes living in The Centurion pub, delivered a joke-filled speech and referenced his recent confirmation as a contestant on Last One Laughing. Elsewhere at the awards, Jeremy Clarkson’s Clarkson’s Farm secured Reality Docuseries, while Michael McIntyre’s Big Show won the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award. Gogglebox won Factual Entertainment and Emmerdale, including Jeff Hordley as Cain Dingle, took multiple drama prizes. This Morning won Daytime, and Sir David Attenborough was named TV Presenter of the Year.
