South Boost: María Ripoll and Max Lemcke Feature in a Project Lineup Reflecting Andalusia's Growing TV Ambitions

South Boost, a development platform for Andalusian TV producers, is expanding its push to connect local projects with production partners, broadcasters and platforms. Now in its third edition, the initiative brought six projects to Cádiz after receiving 36 submissions, up from 22 in 2025 and 15 in 2024. Organizers increased the selected slate from five to six, aiming for “realistic” routes to production. Among the picks is “La playa de los alemanes,” a seven-part thriller by Silvestre García and developed by Intuitivofilms with Cahuenga Filmmakers, featuring María Ripoll as executive producer, showrunner and episodic director. Ripoll’s pitch centers on Cádiz’s coastal setting, including WWII bunkers.
