EXCLUSIVE: Murdered Marbella BBL surgeon 'lost UK medical licence' in 2016
An exclusive report by the Olive Press says Dr. Alexander Aslani, the celebrity plastic surgeon shot dead in his Marbella clinic earlier this week, had lost his UK medical licence for practicing medicine in Britain in 2016. The article says Aslani was subject to extensive working restrictions agreed with the General Medical Council (GMC) starting in 2012, following a disciplinary action over “deficiencies” across six areas: record keeping, prescribing, patient assessment, patient consent, working within limits, and post-operative care. It adds that his licence to practise in the UK ran from November 2009 until it was severely restricted in March 2012, and that he later relinquished it entirely in 2016. The report claims evidence he continued teaching and training UK surgeons despite the restrictions, and says online GMC entries were removed after his death.
