Feds: Owner of Oak Lawn methadone clinic stole millions, funded lavish lifestyle including yacht 'Butt Nekkid'
Federal prosecutors allege that Daniel J. Robinson, owner of an Oak Lawn methadone clinic, orchestrated a fraud scheme that funded an extravagant lifestyle, including brokerage accounts, luxury cars, jewelry and a yacht called “Butt Nekkid.” Robinson was charged in a criminal complaint unsealed in U.S. District Court on Tuesday with two counts of health care fraud. Prosecutors said he was arrested at an airport Sunday night while attempting to leave the country, and that the charges follow the 2026 National Health Care Fraud Takedown. DOJ said the takedown produced cases against 455 defendants involving more than 6.5 billion dólares en reclamaciones falsas y daño significativo a pacientes. According to the complaint, ODA Solutions allegedly submitted hundreds of fraudulent claims from December 2023 to the present for behavioral health counseling and therapy services allegedly never provided, collecting at least $75 million. DOJ alleged the clinic claimed 500 or more counseling hours per day despite having 16 employees, and provided fake visit notes, including examples tied to dates when a patient was allegedly hospitalized and later died.
