Matt Damon didn't receive any special treatment on The Odyssey
Matt Damon said he was not given special treatment on The Odyssey, despite leading the production. The 55-year-old actor, who plays Odysseus in director Sir Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic, told People that the cast and crew were treated the same in conditions at sea, describing everyone as equally exposed during storms. He compared the filming experience to an expedition and said each day required “max out” effort from the entire team to secure the shots. Damon also promised cinema audiences will “get their money’s worth,” saying the production depended on the cast and crew pushing beyond their limits. He recently discussed working with Charlize Theron on a windy beach in Morocco, where she faced scenes with 30–40 mile-per-hour winds and sand in her eyes, and he characterized her as “seriously tough.” Damon stars with Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Theron.
