Q'Apel Medical Announces U.S. Launch of the Lynx™ Aspiration Catheter System
Q’Apel Medical announced the U.S. launch of the Lynx™ Aspiration Catheter System, positioning it as a tool for mechanical thrombectomy—the standard of care for acute ischemic stroke caused by vessel occlusion. The company says Lynx is designed for stroke procedures that require access and clot retrieval through increasingly complex anatomy, emphasizing tracking, versatility, and navigability. The system is built around Q’Apel’s proprietary QLCT™ (Q’Apel Laser Cut Tube) technology; Lynx is the second product using QLCT and features a bimetal shaft for proximal support and distal flexibility. It also uses a unique open-spaced nitinol structure intended to resist kinking and maintain lumen patency. Lynx is offered in three ID sizes: 0.044, 0.058, and 0.072 inches.
