Nandakumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Manappuram Finance Ltd, received global recognition for a US$1.5 million humanitarian contribution to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). The award was presented at the Lions International Convention in Hong Kong, where Nandakumar and his wife, Lion Sushma Nandakumar, were honored for exceptional humanitarian service. The donation will support LCIF programmes spanning education, healthcare, disaster relief, youth empowerment, vision care and community development. Nandakumar said the gift reflects long-running efforts to “strengthen humanitarian initiatives” with sustainable outcomes. His Lions involvement began in 1981 and includes roles such as International Director and multiple international awards.
