Alex Scott whisked off on romantic trip by Jess Glynne after quitting job
Alex Scott has left her Disney+ presenting role with the Women’s Champions League after just two rounds of matches, following criticism of the broadcast. The coverage drew complaints after technical problems led to an unscheduled advert break during Arsenal’s game against HB Koge, and it was also accused of undermining women’s football and being too “gimmicky.” Scott addressed the backlash after quitting, saying she doesn’t agree with all decisions but tried to advise behind the scenes. One month after stepping down, she marked her 42nd birthday on a romantic trip to Paris with her girlfriend, singer-songwriter Jess Glynne, including attending a Celine Dion concert. Disney’s WCL coverage returns on October 28, with Lianne Sanderson, Nedum Onuoha and Shebahn Aherne among the presenters.
