Brasscals & SOUL New Orleans Brass Band

Santa Barbara's Brasscals! will join New Orleans’ SOUL Brass Band for an all-ages show at SOhO on Monday, June 8, delivering high-energy brass, funk, and second-line rhythms. Brasscals! bills itself as Santa Barbara’s only street brass band, mixing funk, jazz, pop, Latin grooves, and New Orleans brass arrangements. SOUL Brass Band, led by Derrick Freeman, combines brass, soul, jazz, funk, and hip-hop into a nonstop, danceable party, featuring saxophonists James Martin and Miles Lyons. Founded in 2022, Brasscals! has performed internationally at HONK! festivals, while SOUL Brass Band has energized festivals, dance floors, and second-line celebrations across the country.
