Guernsey cruise passenger numbers still low amid visitor rise

Cruise traffic to Guernsey is still running well below pre-pandemic levels, according to Hannah Beacom, managing director of Island Coachway. She said cruise bookings typically land across about 40 to 50 visits a year, despite cruises being bookable for around 100 days and up to two years ahead. Visitor numbers excluding yacht and cruise passengers have climbed to 81,681 in the latest quarterly travel and visitor accommodation bulletin, close to pre-pandemic totals. Beacom called it the “most positive” signal since Covid and noted Sundays remain challenging for town activity, with many shops closed by 17:00 BST.
