Hull and back: Glasgow cat reunited with owner after 280-mile stowaway trip

A Glasgow woman has been reunited with her cat Luna after the nine-year-old stowed away in a van and ended up about 280 miles away near Hull. Emily Caldwell said Luna went missing from her home in the Shawlands area of Glasgow on October 9 and she spent weeks searching and posting flyers. On October 29, she received an email from a student who believed they had found her cat at a rural college near Winestead, between Hull and the coast in Yorkshire. Students cared for Luna, fed her, took her to a vet where her microchip was scanned, then tracked Caldwell through a PawBoost listing. Luna was collected by Caldwell’s father and returned to Glasgow on October 31.
