Jasson Dominguez called up as Yankees place Trent Grisham on IL

Trent Grisham’s hamstring strain opened a roster spot for Jasson Dominguez to return to the Yankees, who announced on Saturday that Grisham was placed on the 10-day injured list. Dominguez, who had been on a Class AAA rehab assignment after suffering a sprained left AC joint on May 7 by colliding with the Yankee Stadium outfield wall, was recalled from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Grisham exited Friday’s 8-5 loss to the Blue Jays when his hamstring tightened as he rounded first base on a two-run single. Dominguez homered in Triple-A and has begun transitioning to right field, a new position for him.
