Lynx end regular season with blowout win, drop Fever to No. 6 seed

The Minnesota Lynx closed the regular season with an 86-66 rout of the Indiana Fever on Thursday night in Minneapolis. Kayla McBride led Minnesota with 22 points, while Natasha Howard added 21 on 9-for-11 shooting. The Lynx finished 33-11 for the league’s best record and were already set as the No. 1 seed before tipoff. Olivia Miles missed a second straight game due to left calf soreness. Courtney Williams contributed nine points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. Indiana was led by Kelsey Mitchell with 10 points; Caitlin Clark scored two on 1-of-12 shooting and 0-for-7 from three. Minnesota will host the No. 8 New York Liberty in round one. Indiana enters as the sixth seed, after Washington clinched fifth with a win, and will face either the Valkyries or Aces in the opener.
