Major cruise line hikes its popular package prices in move that could hit vacation budgets

Princess Cruises is raising prices on two popular add-on bundles starting Oct. 13, a change the line says reflects operating costs while continuing to offer “value.” The Princess Plus package will increase to $70 per day from the previous rate, and Princess Premier will rise to $105 per day. On Sun Princess and Star Princess, the packages increase to $75 and $110 per day. Both bundles include beverage perks, Wi-Fi and dining benefits, but Wi-Fi terms are also shifting. Princess is retiring its four-device Wi-Fi tier and replacing it with a two-device option at $39.99 per day, while single-device onboard purchases cost more.
