xCruzo Brief
George Reid, 37, appeared before Grimsby Crown Court after driving a Renault at a crowd near a nightclub in Cleethorpes during the early hours, with CCTV footage showing the vehicle mounting the pavement on Sea Road. Police later breath-tested him at the legal limit exceedance: 112mcgs against 35mcgs. Reid admitted dangerous driving and an offence of assault causing actual bodily harm committed on July 19. The court heard the victim survived with only bruising and significant pain, though he said he was off work for two months and suffered mental health impacts. In court, the victim forgave Reid and offered help with his alcohol issue, while Recorder Caroline Sellars said she was “lost for words.”
