Rays stun Brewers with 2-run rally in 12th inning and force World Series Game 5
xCruzo Brief
Jonny DeLuca and pinch-hitter Ben Williamson delivered run-scoring hits in the 12th inning as the Tampa Bay Rays kept their season alive with a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday, forcing World Series Game 5. Cooper Pratt hit a tying home run in the top of the 12th off Ian Seymour as Milwaukee neared a sweep and its first championship. The Rays answered in the bottom half after a throwing error by Joey Ortiz on a leadoff grounder by Junior Caminero, with Liam Hicks and DeLuca providing the tying and go-ahead drives. Williamson’s go-ahead chopper came after Tampa used a five-man infield shift. Game 5 is Wednesday night at Tropicana Field, with Jacob Misiorowski scheduled for Milwaukee.
