Rock Hill, a Trump rally for Graham is more about Trump

Sunrise in Rock Hill drew an unusual crowd Thursday morning as President Donald Trump stumped for Darline Graham, the Republican candidate in a tight U.S. Senate race against Democrat Annie Andrews. Supporters lined up outside the Rock Hill Sports & Events Center before dawn, browsing Trump-themed vendors selling hats, pins and date-stamped “I was here” buttons. Inside the rally zone, enthusiasm centered more on backing Trump than on Graham herself: multiple attendees said they weren’t specifically voting for Graham. Others, including a Trump supporter who can’t vote in South Carolina, framed their support in party-versus-party terms. A notable absence was U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman, R-5th, Graham’s GOP primary victor in August.
