Trump Cancels Saturday's Planned Rally for Kansas GOP Sen. Roger Marshall
President Donald Trump canceled a planned rally in Salina, Kansas, meant to help incumbent Republican Sen. Roger Marshall keep his seat. The cancellation was confirmed by an employee at the airport hangar on Thursday, just two days after the Republican National Committee had announced Salina as the location. The White House press office said Trump would instead continue connecting with Americans through more than 20 “telerallies” before Election Day, describing them as a way to highlight his accomplishments and expand reach nationwide. Trump has held dozens of rallies since the start of the month, largely in Republican-leaning states, while polls have continued to show Democrats staying competitive in places including Iowa, Mississippi, Ohio, Alaska and Kansas. He had already rallied in Wichita on Oct. 19.
