Bitcoin (BTC) Tanks Toward $80K, Ripple (XRP) Loses Key Support: Weekend Watch
Bitcoin slid toward $80,400 as volatility returned over the weekend and extended into Monday, after rejection around $85,000. The token is still above $80,000 but is about 1% lower on the day, with market cap down to $1.620 trillion and dominance over altcoins near 60% on CMC. The move follows a complex week: BTC bounced above $82,000, suffered a “flash crash” on Saturday that pushed it down roughly a grand, then briefly rallied again to nearly $85,000 before bearish control brought it back to the $80K area. Ethereum is under $2,400, and XRP has fallen below the $1.30 support level. Other tokens including NEAR, PUMP, WLD and DOT also dropped, while SOL hovered near $100. Total crypto market cap is about $2.7 trillion, down more than 1% daily.
