MMA fighter Cole Johnson has admitted his planned “Wavy vs Chimp” stunt was never real, after thousands of fans flocked to a website claiming to stream a fight. The site and a countdown clock kept attention until 8pm Central, when Johnson told followers he would not take part in a dangerous act. Scientists had warned against involving chimps due to the risk of deadly bites or attacks. Johnson later said the “fight” was a prank and that the event ended with a donation to the Jane Goodall Foundation, after he removed the streaming link and shared the foundation’s page.
