Miley Cyrus reveals stage panic attack after double trauma
Miley Cyrus says she suffered an “actual anxiety attack” onstage after a double trauma involving the death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and a frightening emergency during a flight. The 33-year-old singer recounted the 2022 episode in an Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe, following the release of her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, on Friday (18.09.26). She described performing in Mexico while readjusting to large crowds after the Covid pandemic and dealing with Hawkins’ death. Cyrus said she told the audience she was having an anxiety attack, and the crowd responded. Hawkins died in Bogotá in March 2022 after a plane was struck by lightning on her trip to Paraguay. Cyrus later dedicated “Angels Like You” to Hawkins during a Brazil performance.
