The November 2026 Nevada business indicators highlight a mixed but generally positive U.S. and state backdrop. The third estimate of 2026 Q2 U.S. real GDP rose at a 2.2% annual rate, up from 1.5% in Q2’s second estimate and 2.1% in Q1. Nonfarm payrolls added 29,000 jobs in September, while the national unemployment rate edged up to 4.2%. Retail sales increased 5.4% year-over-year in August. Nevada posted stronger labor and consumer signals: statewide employment rose 4,400 jobs in August and unemployment fell 0.2 points to 4.8%, the lowest post-pandemic rate, while taxable sales jumped 20.0% in July. Tourism indicators were weaker, with air passenger traffic down 8.5% nationally and Nevada gaming revenue up 3.1%. Clark County employment rose 7,000 and unemployment fell to 5.1%. Washoe County added 1,100 jobs, unemployment dropped to 3.9%, taxable sales climbed 38.6%, gaming revenue rose 10.4%, and air passengers fell 3.8%.
