Ravens turn to undrafted rookie QB with Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley hurt
The Baltimore Ravens’ return hopes for Lamar Jackson lasted just one play on Sunday. Jackson had missed the previous three games with a high-ankle sprain, but he was ruled out for the rest of the game after suffering a thumb injury early against the Buffalo Bills. Tyler Huntley entered as the backup, as he has done over the past three games, but he too was hurt in the first drive of the second quarter when he was sacked by Cole Bishop, fumbled, and sustained a toe injury that left him questionable to return. With both quarterbacks sidelined, the Ravens turned to undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano from UConn, who made his NFL debut midway through the second quarter. The game included a sack by Bills cornerback Maxwell Hairston and a missed 34-yard field goal by kicker Tyler Loop.
