Texas linebacker Rasheem Biles made a hometown statement in UT’s 59-7 season-opening win over Texas State at Royal-Memorial Stadium, using a “punch” technique to spark the rout. With about six minutes left in the second quarter, Biles punched the ball free from running back Taji Atkins, and defensive back Graceson Littleton returned the fumble 59 yards for a touchdown—ending any chance of a Texas State upset. The play also set up an expanded deficit for the Bobcats, who fell behind 28 points after the score.
