Ben Simmons is returning to the NBA after missing the entire 2025-26 season. The 30-year-old Australian signed with the Sacramento Kings on Friday on a one-year deal worth $3.5 million. Simmons sat out while rehabbing chronic back and leg injuries that had limited his play and production in earlier seasons. His most recent NBA action came in 2024-25, when he started with the Brooklyn Nets, was waived in February 2025, and then joined the Los Angeles Clippers to finish the year. In 51 games, he averaged 22 minutes, 5.0 points, 5.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and career-low numbers across multiple categories.
