College football rankings today: Ole Miss climbs to No. 4

Ole Miss climbed to No. 4 in the latest AP Top 25 released Sunday after a chaotic Week 3 left the SEC with 10 ranked teams. Texas remained No. 1 for a second straight week, followed by Georgia, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Indiana to complete the top five. Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, BYU and LSU filled out the top 10. Ole Miss jumped four spots after beating LSU 32-24, a result that marked its first top-five ranking since finishing No. 3 in last season’s final poll, while LSU slipped three spots to No. 10. Louisville posted the biggest rise, climbing seven spots to No. 16, and Texas A&M fell from No. 9 to No. 23 after losing 31-21 to Kentucky. Florida debuted at No. 21 and Mississippi State entered at No. 24. The next week features multiple ranked-vs-ranked games including Texas vs. Tennessee.
