ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins called Leonard “arguably one of the worst free agent signings in NBA history,” pointing to a postseason-shallow return and the Clippers’ penalties, including suspensions and the loss of five first-round picks. The Athletic reported that Leonard’s uncle Dennis Robertson asked for part ownership, a private plane, a house, and guaranteed endorsement money.
