Miles breaks Clark's WNBA rookie points record by scoring 770th point

Olivia Miles broke Caitlin Clark’s WNBA rookie season scoring record Sunday in the Minnesota Lynx’s game against the Connecticut Sun in Uncasville, Conn. Miles entered the matchup tied with Clark at 769 points, then moved past the benchmark on a free throw in the second quarter. The Lynx guard had been averaging 19.7 points, 6.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds entering the game and was a key reason Minnesota owned the league’s best record. Drafted second overall after playing at Notre Dame and TCU, Miles started slowly, going scoreless in the first quarter. The record-setting free throw came 29 seconds into the second.
