NFL injury roundup: Baker Mayfield, Breece Hall knocked out late in losses

Baker Mayfield was ruled out late in Tampa Bay’s 23-16 home loss to the Minnesota Vikings after sustaining a dislocated right thumb on a fourth-and-13 play that ended with an interception by Andrew Van Ginkel. Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said X-rays showed no fracture and Mayfield will have an MRI on Monday. With Mayfield injured, undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels went 0-for-3 and will be in line to start next Sunday against the visiting Green Bay Packers. In the same game, Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson left with a left ankle injury in the first quarter and did not return; Josh Oliver and Charles Demmings also exited. Jets RB Breece Hall is likely headed for an MRI after a thigh injury in a 31-24 loss to Detroit. Dolphins RB De’Von Achane missed the final three-plus quarters with a knee injury.
