Sources: Packers sign veteran OG Tomlinson off Cowboys' practice squad

The Green Bay Packers signed veteran guard Laken Tomlinson to bolster a struggling offensive line, according to NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The 34-year-old was on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. Tomlinson has played 173 career games, with no action since Week 17 of last season, and is a former first-round pick. The Packers have rotated three different players at left guard through three games because of toe and knee injuries limiting preferred starter Aaron Banks to one appearance. On the right side, first-year starter Jacob Monk has struggled at right guard, and starting right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 2. Early pass protection has been especially poor: ESPN Research lists a 16% Pass Block Win Rate through three games.
