Vote for The News Tribune's Football Athlete of the Week (Aug. 31 to Sept. 5)

The News Tribune is asking readers to vote for its Football Athlete of the Week for high school contests played Aug. 31 to Sept. 5. The online poll remains open until noon Friday, and votes emailed will not be counted. The story says nominees should include the athlete’s first and last name, school, year, position, and a stat line from games during the past week. Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Sunday. Candidates listed include Briytan Bailey (131 rushing yards, two TDs on 19 carries), Brady Bonnell (26-of-29 passing, 264 yards, three TDs plus 92 rushing yards and another score), and Ibrahima Diallo (203 yards and four TDs). Multiple players’ weekly performances from teams in the South Sound are included.
