Chaucer targets further global growth as business approaches $4 billion | The Insurer
Chaucer plans to push beyond its current scale, targeting further global growth through overseas offices as it approaches $4 billion in insurance and reinsurance business. CEO Richard Milner told The Insurer the company’s operations are now around $3.7 billion to $3.8 billion, up from roughly $1 billion in 2019–20. With a five-year strategy developed for the 2026–2030 period, Chaucer aims to keep growing even as market conditions become less favorable. London and Lloyd’s will remain its core, but Milner said Chaucer wants to increase headcount, products, and operational capabilities abroad, emphasizing locations such as Bermuda, Singapore, Miami, Dubai, Dublin, and Copenhagen. The company will stay focused on specialty insurance and reinsurance, not retail.
