Dubai int'l travel show highlights AI, China's growing appeal

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre is spotlighting two growing themes in tourism: artificial intelligence and China’s rising appeal. The four-day event, running through Thursday, drew more than 2,800 exhibitors and 55,000 tourism professionals. Organizers say the show floor featured AI, robotics and digital payments alongside traditional travel offerings. Officials at Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism said travelers are increasingly using AI for inspiration and recommendations, pushing destinations to ensure their information is accurate for AI systems. The event also highlighted reverse flow as China brings a record delegation of 28 companies from eight provinces to attract Gulf visitors.
