DuckDuckGo's new smart glasses come with zero AI and 100% shade

DuckDuckGo is launching anti-surveillance “smart” glasses that it says have zero AI and zero recording features. The product, made in partnership with the sunglasses brand Knockaround, uses the Paso Robles frame in matte black with a glossy DuckDuckGo logo. Priced at $35, the glasses include polarized lenses, full UV400 protection, and FDA-compliant impact-resistant lenses inside a custom hard case. The company stresses there is no battery, no charging port, and no chip in the frame. Knockaround lists infinite “charge life,” zero camera count, and zero notification count. The move comes amid growing scrutiny of wearable devices that can record and upload data to cloud AI systems.
