Pearson says it is on track to meet its 2026 guidance as virtual learning momentum accelerates and demand rises for AI study tools in U.S. higher education. In the first half, the British education company reported underlying group revenue up 4% to £1.78 billion ($2.39 billion) and adjusted operating profit up 14% to £276 million, after last year’s impairment charge weighed on results. CEO Omar Abbosh said Pearson is executing its strategy with operational improvements and innovation in learning and assessment. Its 2026 outlook calls for mid-single digit underlying revenue growth and adjusted operating profit of £640 million to £685 million. Virtual learning revenue grew 19% in the first six months.
