Crews were seen near the arena, including items marked “lobster meat” and a delivered tree branch, while workers declined to comment. An NYPD enforcement official said additional officers would be deployed, including heavy weapons teams with long guns, canine units, and emergency services units, plus crowd-control personnel. A tent is planned to obstruct views along part of West 31st Street near Seventh Avenue. Officials also emphasized the area would not be treated as a “frozen zone” like during NBA Finals.
